PNRRS and Rugby Oregon will hold a Level 1 Officiating – Introduction to Officiating course on January 14, 2012 at 1111 Broadway, Vancouver, WA 98660. The purpose of this course is to enable officials to acquire basic skills to officiate safe, enjoyable competition. The course covers referee priorities, game knowledge and management and an introduction to the Laws. There is a short open book exam at the end. There will be class work and outdoor Rugby activity, so wear suitable clothing and shoes. The course will begin at 8:30 AM and last until approximately 5:30 PM.
The cost of the course is $50.00 and registration is online through the www.usarugby.org website. Click on Referees and Register for a Referee Training Course. Participants who have completed the online material prior to the course must bring their certificates showing they have completed these online requirements.
